Planning applications are normally discussed at the regular parish council meeting, held on the first Monday of the month. There are occasions when a planning sub-committee meeting is called, if there is no monthly meeting that month or the Planning Authority requires a response prior to the next parish council meeting.

Whilst Hartington Nether Quarter Parish Council considers and comments on all applications affecting the parish, the controlling authority is the Peak District National Park Authority who can choose to take on board or ignore the parish council’s comments.

Residents should check with the Peak District National Park Authority
(01629 816200) before carrying out any work on trees within the parish.
